The circle of the Sun has moved around again and here in the Northern Hemisphere we find ourselves at the shortest day of the year. The Winter Solstice is a special time when the candles are lit and maybe even a Yule Log which symbolize the return of the light after this longest night of Solstice. Here in the garden the days are short and nights are chilly, though we still have a single rose blooming in the garden. Her beauty is especially welcome this time of year and with it comes the hope of blooming days ahead. But for now we move into winter and the garden will rest and we will rest too... I wish you all a beautiful Solstice and we'll see you in the garden in 2019!

What an amazing season it has been! Despite the adversity of heat, wind and smoke, the garden continued to shine for a good long season. We are truly blessed and now the garden can rest in Winter's silence. So here are the last splashes of the Fall season-enjoy!
