I have loved nature ever since I can remember. Growing up in Miami, Florida, I had ample opportunity to play outdoors. and play outdoors I did! I loved to climb trees, swim in the ocean and roll down the big grassy hill at our local park, Greynolds Park.
I've always had a fondness for plants, especially flowers. I enjoyed the flowers my mom grew, particularly her brightly colored amaryllis, orange hibiscus and most of all, her fragrant gardenias. I am convinced there is no better fragrance in the world than that of a gardenia!
One year my mom prepared a little garden plot for each of us kids and gave us a variety of seeds to plant in our gardens. I couldn't wait to plant my zinnia seeds and once I did, it felt like Christmas everyday, as those seeds sprouted and grew and blossomed into a rainbow of colors! It was the beginning of a life-long love of gardening for me and "GardenRainbows" got it's start from that little packet of zinnia seeds.
What I bring to the gardening world is love and compassion for all of nature, as well as enthusiasm for creating beautiful and bountiful gardens. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. The book I've written, "Over The Rainbow ; a gardener's guide to creating light-filled gardens", contains a wealth of information for new and seasoned gardeners alike. I also offer a few classes, such as "Planting for Pollinators", "How to make flower essences" and "Greeting the Faery Realm". These classes are fun, informative and inter-active, as we all have so much to share and learn from each other.
Besides the book and classes, I also have garden essences for sale. You can buy individual essences or you can purchase a personal essence blend made intuitively for you.
