After the Harvest Moon

It's the first of October and the days are noticeably cooler. The garden and I are both quite happy to put the summer heat behind us! The flowers are blooming in their final flush before winter while tomatoes are happily ripening on the vine. The runner bean flowers are growing into beans and the purple tomatillos are popping out of paper husks ready for picking. It's all about beauty and bounty in the garden this season so enjoy the wonderful days of autumn! Winter will be upon us soon enough...
